Skitsch - Fire Kit Table Lamp

Original, fresh ideas for the grey day by day. Since the foundation in the year 2003, the design team 5.5 considers itself as “medicine for discarded products”. In this philosophy is a little irony and playfulness. Also the Fire Kit, which they designed for Skitsch displays the typical 5.5 fingerprints.

Humans have always tried to create nature-close things, possibly inspired by life outside. The basic idea of the design team 5.5 was to return to traditional artifacts. These ones have been achieved with the Fire Kit lamp – which looks like a bonfire at the beach.

Tha lamp’s base consists of two crossed wooden elements which support a mouth blown “flame”. The illuminant is placed inside of the “flame” and it ensures picnic-at-the-beach mood.
