Simply leaned at the wall, Gaston offers space for 9 pairs of men’s shoes or 12 pairs or women’s shoes, or 16 pairs of children’s shoes, or…?!
The idea and the design of the simple but convincing shoe cabinet Gaston was coined by Christian Hoisl & Anneke Bieger who won the Form Design Award in the year 2004, which is given once a year within the framework of the Autumn Tendence Fair.
Gaston consists of massive, untreated ash wood and is delivered including a metallic shoehorn.
The shoe cabinet Gaston is manufactured in the Caritas Wendelstein workshop in Rosenheim/Raubling.
The aim and the philosophy of his work is described by Hoisl as follows: „The development of long-term successful products, from their design until the serial production, in a clear material and function-adapted shaping with an emotional pulse.” Designer Christian Hoisl

Great - and more stable than I'd thought,
2011-10-28 by Torben R.
Having just redone my walls from scratch, the thought of drilling holes in my walls was not that appealing. This shoe cabinet requires no drilling, and it is surprisingly stable. I was afraid it might be easy to tip over, but it's not. Please note that I don't have any kids though, otherwise it might be a different story ;-)
