Wool blanket with poppy design
The Vesi Unikko wool blanket from Marimekko is made using the jacquard knitting technique and decorated with fringes at the ends. The colors of the pattern are inverted on the reverse. This product commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Unikko pattern and proudly bears the anniversary label.

The Unikko (poppy) pattern, which stands for creativity, was created at a time when floral patterns were rare in the Marimekko collections. Despite the trend, Maija Isola was fascinated by the floral theme and decided to develop a complete series with innovative floral prints.
