Verner Panton was a great defender of the philosophy that good furniture has to be versatile. This is also the thought behind his Modular Table.
The side table “Modular Table” produced by Verpan is part of an original series of tables and seating that were designed by Verner Panton in 1959/1960 for the Danish company Plus-linje. Verner Panton caused furore at first with the geometric and wire frame furniture. Numerous further designs followed helping Verner Panton to reach today’s status of being a design legend.
The Modular table is, typical for the Scandinavian design style simple and clear. This is how, always being timeless, the side table fits in easily with greatly different furnishing styles. A decisive plus point however, is its name-giving modularity, as the table can be connected with further tables and stools from the series by means of an optionally available frame. This is how the Modular series is above all of interest for the object area, as the principle of connecting frames makes it possible to create individual and unlimited group arrangements.
Verpan produces the Modular table with a polished and chrome-plated completely metal frame (Ø 1.6 cm). The table top consists of a plastic coated MDF sheet and is available in three colours. Thanks to the adjustable nylon feet, the table can be adjusted to uneven floors.
Each Verpan product is delivered with a certificate of authenticity. This certificate guarantees that it is an original product, which is still manufactured according to the strict quality standards from Verner Panton at Verpan.
