The Itis table lamp was created by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa for Italian light manufacturer Artemide. Thanks to an innovative LED light source, a powerful, warm light is created and energy consumption drastically reduced.
Itis produces direct and scattered light. The joints on the bottom part and head of the lamp allow the shaft to rotate between 0° and 90°, and the head up to 180°. The three bulbs in the head of Itis let the light shine sideways through a small ring, and depending on the head’s rotation, upwards or downwards.
The LED lights are characterised by reduced energy consumption, long service life and optimum light yield. LEDs emit 100% of their light directly into their surroundings, so energy isn’t wasted and light isn’t emitted in other directions.
The Itis table lamp by Artemide received the ‘best of the best’ red dot design and American Good Design Awards for its flexible and futuristic design.
The lower part of the Itis table lamp is made of painted zamak, the shaft of painted metal and the light head of painted metal and polycarbonate. The table lamp by Artemide is available in black or white.
