The organic form of the Kuukuna lamp, inspired by nature - is perfect for a side table, bookshelf or any other place that can use a decorative, diffuse source of light.
The simple yet unique design of the illuminated object by Iittala gives each room a peaceful, minimalist and unmistakable Scandinavian atmosphere. Several Kuukuna lamps together form an impressive light source. Used as a table lamp, floor lamp or on its own, the minimalist Kuukuna is a wonderful object, whether it is switched on or off.
Iittala Kuukuna: Minimalist Light Object
The light of the Kuukuna can be adjusted to the individual requirements, because various bulbs can be used with the E14 base. In either case, the lamp provides a soft, glare-free light with its matt opal glass shade, which is just as suitable for accent lighting as it is for ambiance lighting.
Kuukuna was originally designed by the glass specialist Oiva Toikka in 1986 and produced by the expert glassblowers in the typical Finnish workshops of Iittala. Iittala has dived into the archives and finally decided to bring the naturally mouth-blown light back to life, but in a slightly larger format. To clean, the light simply needs to be wiped down with a damp cloth.
