The Italian painter and designer Aldo Ciabatti was born in the city Arezzo in the Toscana in 1939.
Ciabatti started to concentrate on design in the 1960s. The “complexity of simplicity” encouraged the Italian: The connection of form, colour and material is the most important factor of Ciabatti’s work.
According to CIabatti’s believe, it is only with that combination that product design works, including his four criteria topics: beauty, utility, character and the possibility of industrial production. To reach this, Ciabatti works with the method of an artist, instead of restricting to rational criteria.
The artworks, designs and installations of Aldo Ciabatti are all over the globe. Numerous design awards prove the lifework of the Italian artist.
