Provocative design from Italy
Born in 1966, Fabio Novembre is an architect and designer. He grew up in Lecce in southern Italy and later studied architecture in Milan. In 1993, Novembre moved to New York in the USA to study film directing. Instead, he discovered his talent for design, worked in Hong Kong and, after returning to Italy, opened his own studio in Milan. Since 2001, Novembre has focused increasingly on furniture design.
Novembre soon made a name for himself on the Italian design scene as a provocateur who played with Christian symbols. He often appeared dressed as Jesus and attracted a great deal of attention with his daring designs. He has worked as a product designer and interior architect for many internationally renowned companies, such as Casamania and Driade, and is now a star of the global design scene.
