The filio collection has been designed by Tassilo von Grolman in the 1980s. Filigree design and the best tea culture are unified in a form-fulfilled shape here.
The characteristics of the filio series are the free-swinging glasses that are hanged at a stainless steel frame. The glass forms are harmonic and round, while the shape of the filigree stainless steel frame takes the swung lines. The form remains very reduced and clear as a total. These qualities ensure that the mono filio collection remains timeless and carefree.
The tea preparation with the filio tea pot becomes a fascinating scenario: in a staging of glass, metal and light there are floating tea leaves and the whole aroma is unfolded. The design however, isn’t only appealing apparently, but also very useful: the last bit of liquid remains in the teapot and with it also tea crumbles by means of the specific geometry of the glass half-sphere. The glasses and the teapot warmer ensure an adapted presentation when tea is served.
The mono filio collection brings thousands of years of tea culture into contemporaneous times. The Tassilo von Grolman series has been honoured with the iF Design Award for this masterpiece.
