Stine Weigelt is a Danish designer who feels at home all over the world. She grew up in Tanzania, Memphis, Tennessee and Aarhus. She studied industrial design at the Design School in Kolding, before which she trained as a tailor. Stine's childhood, her extraordinary homes and her creative veins are the perfect breeding ground for intercultural and modern ideas that transform into extraordinary design objects.
Stine draws ideas from her curiosity for beautiful things. With her camera around her neck, she takes detailed shots of interesting things whose patterns are often found in the finished design objects.
Your creative process is based on two actions: inventing and testing. For them it is important that designers cannot always try to tame the nature of materials - especially if they intend to create functional and appealing design that can be passed down from generation to generation.
