Danish furniture classics

In the early 1940s, FDB hired some young, courageous furniture architects and designers to create beautiful, functional furniture at affordable prices. The establishment of FDB Møbler was proof that high-quality furniture was not reserved for the wealthiest in society. FDB Møbler was intended to set the framework for a good get-together where close family values and a democratic community were central.

In the 50s and into the 70s the company had its peak, but closed the factory in 1980. In 2013, the retail company Coop Danmark A/S re-launched some old classics and ventured to relaunch FDB Møbler. In addition to well-known and popular furniture designed by Børge Mogensen and Poul M. Volther, among others, the manufacturer also offers new designs that combine the values of the past and present.

Vision: Sustainability

FDB Møbler has set itself the goal of becoming Denmark's most responsible furniture company and is prepared to push its own boundaries to achieve this title. For example, all the wood used by the Danish manufacturer is already certified with the FSC® label. In the same way, all textiles are certified according to OEKO-TEX®. FDB Møbler's next goal is to award all products with the highest environmental certification on the Scandinavian market - the Nordic Swan - by 2025.
