Alfredo Häberli designed the Origo dishes for the Finnish manufacturer Iittala in the year 1999. Neither the designer nor the manufacturer predicted to set a “sign of time” with this collection. The collection grew meanwhile and colourful accessories enrich the original dishes series.
The Origo design by Alfredo Häberli was internationally awarded several times: with the iF-Design Award 2002, the Excellent Swedish Design Award 2001 and the Japanese Zakka of the Year prize 2001.
A successful product fulfils quality demands besides consisting of a clever design. This makes up the Origo series that would “resist the burden of being used every day during a long period of time without any problems”, according to Iittala.
A series of kitchen textiles fulfils the successful Origo collection now. The cotton apron is part of this textile series and it mustn’t hide behind the porcelain regarding its quality. Let colours inside of your house and set vivid accents in the classic Origo design.
Alfredo Häberli was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1964. Today, Alfredo Häberli is a world-famous designer who works from Zurich. Designer Alfredo Häberli
