The fruits’ bowl PO/0110 is a design by Ronan Bouroullec, one half of the famous design duo Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. The Italian Company Cappellini produces the bowl since 2001 as part of its collection Progetto Oggetto.
The minimalist bowl PO/0110 gets its strong expression through a design that couldn’t be simpler: a symmetric arrangement of wooden struts is surrounded by a slim wooden frame. Viewed from above the PO/0110 bowl thereby seems nearly two-dimensional. The transparent forms are realized in bright beech wood by Cappellini that fulfils and rounds down the weightless look.
PO/0110 has been designed by Ronan Bouroullec in the year 2001. The Italian manufacturer Cappellini included this design in its Progetto Oggetto collection in the same year because of its transparent and simple form-speaking, and gave the unusual name to it. PO/0110 is a sort of serial number that identifies products as part of the Progetto Oggetto collection. The abbreviation PO stands for Progetto Oggetto, the first two numbers for the production year, 2001 in this case.
The Cappellini collection Progetto Oggetto includes products with a simple and bright design. The products should be easily introducible in every existing furnishing and thereby encourage the integration of design products into nowadays’ homes.
