With Tolomeo, Artemide created probably the most well-known desk lamp of all time. The Demetra picks up on its history and brings it into the contemporary era.
The Italian manufacturer Artemide proves once again that it is justifiably an innovative leader with the Demetra LED table lamp. Artemide designed the Demetra table lamp together with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa, inspiring with minimalism, functionality, efficiency and intelligence.
The dimmable Demetra is ideal for workspaces with its brightness of 600 lumens. The slim, adjustable arms and the flexible lamp head can be rotated freely thanks to the cord mechanism, similar to the one on the classic Tolomeo. The design is still something of its own, as the subdued silhouette references the legendary Tolomeo without imitating it.
The Artemide Demetra can also be used in the living room thanks to its 3000 Kelvin that pleasantly spreads warm light. Artemide produces the minimalistic table lamp from lacquered aluminium. The version with presence sensor has one special feature: after 12 minutes’ absence the light switches off automatically.
