Luxus Table lamp in Bauhaus style

Designed by the German silversmith Christian Dell from the early 1930s, the KAISER Idell lamp 6631 -T Luxus essentially embodies the style of the Bauhaus movement of the time. The luminaire is characterized by its formal unity and at the same time impresses with just a few basic structural elements. The shape is defined by the smooth, asymmetrical reflector shade with a diameter of 290 mm. It is made of high-quality sheet steel and is finished on the outside in the original colors of the time - black, ivory or black-green - with a high-gloss, hand-painted wet finish. The ingenious shape of the reflector in conjunction with the optimum lamp position and the white interior paint enables technically sophisticated light control.

Well-known from radio and television

The upper ball joint, which connects the reflector to the luminaire arm, was only available on Kaiser luminaires in the idell series at the time. It is therefore another key distinguishing feature of absolute originality. The lower tilting joint, which is used to fix the luminaire arm, has a beautifully shaped screw-on clamp that is robust but still looks delicate.
The 6631 -T Luxus even achieved world fame. They have been appearing on the screen in numerous versions since the 1960s. They were particularly prominent on the desks of famous TV detectives and investigators. This is why the desk model 6631 is also affectionately known as the "inspector lamp".

Design meets high-quality materials

The harmoniously shaped lamp arm visually echoes the silhouette of the reflector shade. It is made of pure brass and is artfully soldered to the adjoining articulated parts in silver and polished by hand. Finally, it is given a high-quality chrome finish, as are all the joints and screw connections. The round lamp base at the base of the lamp arm is decorated with a decorative ring, also made of brass, which is then polished and given a high-quality chrome finish. Equipped with a cast plate on the inside, the base not only ensures excellent stability, but also rounds off the overall haptic impression.
