The soap dish of the Birillo series by Alessi presents your soap in an ambitious design and prevents jamming and soiling of bathroom trays. The soap bowl has a grill that the soap can simply be put on. The bowl underneath catches drips of water and prevents the soap from sticking to the bowl after use.

Piero Lissoni designed Birillo on the basis of a square that develops into different three-dimensional bodies. The designer himself describes this form as an “uncomplete square or a completely abortive round shape”. The combination of the materials stainless steel and synthetic (PMMA) also ensures nice contrasts in look and feel.

Piero Lissoni was born in 1956 in Seregno, Italiy. After his architecture studies in Milan did he work as a designer for Molteni and Lema. In 1986 he founded in cooperation with Nicoletta Canesi the Milan studio "Lissoni Associat". Designer Piero Lissoni
