With the Hal bar stool, the designer Jasper Morrison reinterpreted the multifunctional shell chair and elevated it to a higher level. The bar stool is available in two sizes and possesses a clear, contemporaneous expression.

The bar stool is part of the Hal collection that Jasper Morrison developed for Vitra. The chairs of this collection all have the sitting shell in common. This one offers a lot of elbowroom and the slightly yielding plastic allows every kind of sitting position – also sideward’s and astride. This is how Hal encourages a dynamic and ergonomic sitting.

The bar stool Hal from Vitra is multifunctional usable and finds a place in private, as well as in public areas, without any problems. The versatile available colours of the sitting shell enable a perfect introduction of the stool in every furnishing.

The under frame of the stool consists of chromed steel-tube, the sitting shell of coloured polypropylene. The high bar stool Hal possesses special slip resistance on its footrest which avoids slipping feet.

Design: Jasper Morrison

Jasper Morrison was born in London in 1959, and graduated in Design at Kingston Polytechnic Design School, London (1979-82 BA(Des.) ) and The Royal College of Art for Post Graduate studies (1982-85 MA(Des.) RCA). In 1984 he studied at Berlin’s HdK on a Sc Designer Jasper Morrison
