Hay - Ru Chair

The Ru Chair from Hay was designed by Shane Schneck. With versatility the Ru Chair is a reaction to the everyday demands. The origins of the design were functional requests that are made in schools, offices, canteens and conference-centers.

The special arrangement of the chairs’ legs allows the stacking and the positioning of the chairs on tables or other higher positioned surfaces. To clean the floor for example, the chair can be placed on top of the table top without any problems. Furthermore up to 8 Ru Chairs can be stacked over another.

The construction made out of wooden veneer makes Ru Chair a robust, light and versatile object. Ru fulfills the demands of conference-rooms, offices or private rooms without any problems. Ru’s name was chosen by Shane Schneck who was inspired by kangaroos because of their posture and long legs.

The Ru Chair from Hay is available in different colours on demand.
