Curved shell chair with steel or chrome legs
The classic shell chair in a new elegance: With the My Chair Steel, designer Nicolai Wiig Hansen has created a chair for Normann Copenhagen that is strikingly harmonious.
The strict design language of the Normann Copenhagen My Chair finds its counterweight in the rounded corners and the curved waist: design elements that create a warm, inviting look. Many subtle details show the care Hansen has taken in designing the My Chair.
Seat shell of laminated veneer wood
Seating comfort and sustainability also played a major role in the development of My Chair: the seat shell of the chair by Normann Copenhagen is made of laminated veneer wood, which is flexible and follows the body's movements ergonomically. While the curves of the shell follow the shape of the body, the angle of the backrest is slightly more open than in most other chairs. My Chair thus offers even more comfort when leaning back. In addition, the material is extremely durable and easy to care for, so that you can enjoy your chair for a long time. A four-legged frame made of powder-coated steel in various colours or in chromed steel rounds off the design. The My Chair was awarded the coveted interior innovation award for these features.
Nicholai Wiig Hansen says: "My goal was to create a chair with unsurpassed harmony and to approach that elusive quality that I believe takes design to a higher level. My Chair appears familiar and new at the same time, neutral and yet full of character, intimate but not dominating, simple but still complex, clearly defined and at the same time curvy. In other words, My Chair is a shell chair, as I think it should be."
Of course, the My Chair goes particularly well with the My Table by Normann Copenhagen, which was also designed by Nicolai Wiig Hansen.
