The name says it: Tavolino con ruote means “small table with wheels”. The sofa table consists of hardly anything more than a glass top with castors. Therefore the table lies flat on the floor, what enables numerous new possibilities for the design of the homely sofa-corner.
Tavolino con ruote possesses the urban charm of the unfinished and rough. Its reduced design has a timeless and rough elegance. The table top consists of smoothed float-glass. The special industry wheels possess forks of black lacquered metal.
Tavolo con ruote was designed by the Italian architect and designer Gae Aulenti in 1980. Aulenti became famous for her architectural designs. Her Tavolino con ruote is one of her most famous designs in the product design area.
