The Pavina double-walled drinking glasses were developed by designer Masato Yamamoto for Bodum. The drinking glasses are available in three product lines: Canteen, Pavina and Assam. The glass series Canteen and Pavina were awarded the RedDot Design Award.
These double walled glasses offer several advantages compared to normal, single-walled glasses:
- Hot drinks can be held in the hand without using the handle
- With cold drinks, no condensation forms on the glass surface
- The drinks remain hot or cold for longer than they would in single-walled glasses.
People believe that the inventor of stemmed glasses was inspired by the idea of wine floating in the air. The double-walled drinking glasses by Bodum are a further way of letting your drink “float”.
