Floor lamp made of hand-blown glass
The Rituals floor lamp by Foscarini was designed by Ludovica + Roberto Palomba for Foscarini and impresses with its elegant design. The lampshade is hand-blown and has a fine cut. The shade is visually reminiscent of delicate Washi paper, which is used to make traditional oriental lanterns.
Fine pattern in the glass
The Rituals floor lamp gets its special surface structure through a special technology during the manufacturing process. The glass is not rotated in the mold during blowing ("a fermo" technique). The special striped look is achieved with a special mold with negative decorations that are repeated on the surface. Then the glass is filed by hand and then immersed in an acid bath, which gives it a plaster-like effect.
Due to the matt, velvety surface, the light gently shines through the shade. Used as background lighting in the living room or in the hallway, the luminaire provides pleasant light and creates a cozy atmosphere.
