The name for his - 1979/1984 designed - shelf borrowed Philippe Starck the Science Fiction Novelle "Ubik" of Philip K. Dick. Mac Gee is a timeless beautiful creation, which created in cooperation with Baleri Italia in the beginning time of Starcks Karriere.
The book shelf reminds of a blade profile of an airplane, which stands on a wall. The single brims were arranged vertically and overlap both sides, so that a soft and familiar composition is created which has similarities with a ladder, an "objet trouvé", which was modefied to a bookshelf.
The whole shelf is made out of one centre pillar and five seatings in removable height, which are made of a steel panel (with an epoxy powder coat) and it can be delivered in matt black, white and metallic silver.
Height: 236 cm
Depth: 50 cm
Width: 99 cm
