Alessi - Birillo Towel Rack

With the towel rack PL13 Piero Lissoni completes his bathroom series Birillo. The rack offers place for several towels and also possesses a deposit boars for smaller cosmetic accessories.

Optically the Birillo towel rack from Alessi picks up the typical colours as well the forms of other Birillo products: straight lines in combination with round forms emboss Piero Lissonis characteristic design feather.

With Birillo Alessi presents its first and large bathroom collection. Simple and beautiful, practical and extensive Birillo offers the possibility to complete the bathroom and to impart an elegant and all round coherent look to it.

Piero Lissoni emanated his design from a rounded square that developed to different three-dimensional bodies. The designer himself describes this form as “incomplete square or completely failed round form”. The combination of its materials; stainless steel and synthetic (PMMA) furthermore provides an attractive contrast in its optic and haptics.

Piero Lissoni was born in 1956 in Seregno, Italiy. After his architecture studies in Milan did he work as a designer for Molteni and Lema. In 1986 he founded in cooperation with Nicoletta Canesi the Milan studio "Lissoni Associat". Designer Piero Lissoni
