The fair Ambiente enters its last round today – design-novelties and innovations out of the areas Dining, Giving and Living were presented to the international specialist-public during five days, from the 10.02 to the 14.02.2012. A novelty is also the cooperation with a partners-land: As hometown of trend-setting design-concepts, Denmark embossed the Ambiente 2012 and offered a unique Scandinavian flair to it.

Denmark as partner-country

The Ambiente presented a special show to take Denmark to German fair-grounds: “10+ Design Forecast Denmark – Future Living” emerged in cooperation with the Danish Design Center and focused on sustainability as topic. Also the visit of the Danish princess Benedikte on the fourth fair-day as well as the presence of numerous recognized Danish expositors encouraged a successful partnership.

Danish Design

Eva Solo, Menu, Normann Copenhagen, Stelton or Vipp are only one small part of the renowned Danish manufacturers that stand for demanding design. Also the designer Arne Jacobsen or Verner Panton represented exemplarily the creative potential of Denmark. Already in the middle of the 20th century, the Danish designer reached international size. The today-known characteristic Danish design, which is marked by functionality and straight lines, originated out of the design-approach to focus practicability and longevity.
