Wardrobes generally hang on the wall or stand on the floor, but are hardly ever hung from the ceiling. This is the niche where the designer of Cos en Couvee and the manufacturer Goods positioned their Flying Hooks.
The Flying Hooks are "flying" rubber-coated coat hangers. A single coat hanger is mounted on the ceiling and hangs down on a string. The length of the string is adjustable so that the coat hangers hang at the desired height. This offers a flexible use of each coat hanger, which other wardrobes usually don’t provide.
This flexibility can be taken advantage of for example by hanging a single coat hanger very low so that a child can use it. As the child gets older, the hook can be pulled up higher up – the wardrobe actually grows with the child. The rubber coating ensures that clothes are securely fastened and cannot slide off the hanger.
Since the Flying Hooks do not form a solid wardrobe, but can be mounted individually or spread out, they offers a variety of new ways to design and structure a living space. A coat hanger in every corner of the room, small "wardrobe nests"or all coat hangers in a long line – the possibilities are endless.
The Flying Hooks are also available as set of 4 or set of 9. The hooks in a set are delivered with a special ceiling fixture.
