Danish design with a global history – that’s the philosophy of OK Design. Unique pieces of furniture are made there, focussing on cultural versatility.
OK Design was founded in the Danish capital Copenhagen in 2008. The Danish meanwhile settled down in Mexico City and Cairo as well. The chairs Acapulco and Condesa are produced in a Mexican district which is flooded with poverty and problems. OK Design concentrates on helping people where they are by means of offering work to them. OK Design makes it possible for the Mexican employees to earn three times more than the minimum wage of the zone, women and men equally.
The aim of better working conditions is also good for the customer in the end: Those measures made it possible for OK Design to develop special PVC, which is used in Acapulco and Condesa. Contrasting other companies that use plastic, the special material of OK Design is free from phthalates and heavy metals.
