As daughter of a Swedish mother and a Danish father, Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm nearly grew up with the Scandinavian design tradition. Her Nordic roots are mirrored in her furniture designs, where she follows a minimalistic approach and usually works with natural materials, such as wood, leather and wool. The function is the most important thing in Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm’s creations and it decides about the expression of the finished pieces.
Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm graduated in 2007 at the Royal Danish Academy of Arts. She lives as designer in Copenhagen today. Companies such as Skagerak Denmark, Design-Nation or Menu belong to her customers. Her works are as well focussed on projects for different expositions.
