Eric Solè is a French designer, which especially concentrated on light and lamps design.
The early projects of Eric Solè included technical studies about the principles of transformation, about folding chairs, office lamps or about the utility of materials and the utility of their structural qualities.
The interest of Solè in illumination design, more in the details, lies in the development of available raw materials. More than the new materials, the French recognized that some shapes last forever, as well as the object size in the technical fields: ”We can pre-view the shape of a lamp, so to say. Everything is new and there is much to discover, that fascinates me”, explains Eric Solè.
A pretty lamp must be something vivid for Eric Solè and it must have an effect, when it is switched on. It shouls ”talk” to the user, as the designer likes to think.
