The trained architect Leif Jørgensen is especially famous by his works as furnisher of the Diesel Brand stores in Scandinavia. And also beyond this he made himself a name as interior architect. Today he works especially for the Danish design company Hay, for Hay he designed and developed the basic furniture series Loop Stand among others.
Jørgensen’s roots are in architecture and this is especially displayed in his works that are exactly through thought in room dimensions. Also as co-partner of the drawing office BS Architects he is especially famous, which is not at last showed in the growing employed number: in four years the company grew from 2 to 15.
The Loop Stand collection by Jørgensen is an absolute classic. It was created in the late 80s and for the Copenhagen design business LLLP. Today it is part of the Hay collection and hasn’t lost any of its aesthetics in 20 years of existence – simply timeless. An attribute that characterizes many of Jørgensens designs.
