Seals from oak wood
The wooden seal from Spring Copenhagen was actually a polar bear in the beginning. However, the boat builder Chresten Sommer saw in the middle of the process rather the head of a female seal and so he decided to continue with the body of a seal. Whiskers and fins at the end and the wooden seal was ready. For his seal, the designer was strongly inspired by the wooden figures of Kay Bojesen and thus follows a Danish and Nordic design tradition that integrates wooden animals as decoration in the living space.
Mama seal and baby seal together
The seal is made of oak wood and has a movable head. Its rough and simple look is perfectly complemented by the more childlike aesthetic expression. This makes the curious seal look good on shelves, windowsills and side tables, delighting both children and adults.
To complement the female seal, a baby seal is also available, rounding out the small ensemble in a cute way. Placed side by side, there are unexpected opportunities for interaction between the two seals. Both together provide a playful eye-catcher in any room and bring Danish tradition and craftsmanship into your own four walls.
