The Private series from Gubi was created by the designer duo Space Copenhagen and combines Scandinavian minimalism with Japanese craft traditions. Characteristic for the series are the indented feet, which are connected with a discreet wooden strip. The Private series focuses on clear shapes and lines, symmetry and timeless expression. This allows the pieces to blend in perfectly with any ambience.
For the Private Collection, we were inspired by the beauty of Japanese vintage storage and display furniture - in fact, the defining detail of each piece is a Japanese wooden joint. We looked for a simple, strong and recognizable design language that focuses on high quality, beautiful materials and refined, elegant details. Space Copenhagen
