Fibreglass rocking chair

The Eames Fiberglass Armchair was already designed in 1948 by Charles and Ray Eames as part of a competition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The chair occupied the 2. Space and went into production a little later. Its organically shaped seat was then, and is still today, made of polyester resin reinforced with fibreglass fibres, which is regarded as particularly easy to shape, comfortable and pleasant to the touch. The seat shell is also charming because of the clearly visible fibre structure on the surface.

Maple wood skid frame

Part of the collection is among other things the Eames Fiberglass Armchair RAR with skid frame. The rocking chair invites you to linger in a relaxed manner and its low seat gives it a real lounge character, so that it can be perfectly used in a reading corner. Available is the Eames Fiberglass Armchair RAR in some of the original Vitra colours with different maple wood frames.
