Sculptural wooden side table with glass top
The PK60 ™ side table by Poul Kjærholms for the manufacturer Fritz Hansen represents a revolutionary model piece of industrial technology of the 1950s. The groundbreaking design is going back into production for the first time in a new edition. Sculptural yet functional, the side table takes its cue from modern art of abstract forms. The challenge of designing the PK60 ™ was the steam bending technique used to form three interlocking pieces into a unified design. The frame is made of dyed ash or Oregon pine. The table top is made of transparent glass.
