High-Quality Wool and Ecological Dye
The rugs by myfelt are made of 100% pure new wool from New Zealand, which is one of the highest quality wools in the world. The untreated wool is combed and washed several times at the carpet factory in Nepal. After that, the wool is dyed in the corresponding colour at the fair trade certified dye factory "Label STEP®" according to purely ecological guidelines. The subsequent felting is the most complicated step. Every single ball is shaped by hand into its final form in several work steps. Then, the finished balls are sewn into a carpet using a tying process specially developed by myfelt. A carpet can comprise up to 50,000 felt balls.
