Description
Jute carpet
The Vegetal Rug from nanimarquina is a hand-woven rug made of rustic but soft jute. The design is by Nani Marquina, who was inspired by classic Indian dhurries.
Dhurries have been intricately hand-woven by farmers in the Indian villages of Bhadohi, Mirzapur and Allahabad for thousands of years. To this day, they are used as durable floor coverings, saddle blankets, curtains and wall decorations. The texture is simple and reduced to the essentials. This is how nature finds its way into the four walls at home.
The Vegetal carpet from nanimarquina is available in various sizes and subtle colours.
