Chess set with Buddy zinc cast figures
The Buddy Chess Set from Umbra is a playful and modern version of the classic. Here the iconic Buddy figure of Umbra takes every role in the game and appears as king, queen, bishop, rook, knight and pawn. The figures are made of cast zinc, 16 with a nickel surface and 16 with a titanium surface to distinguish the sets. Thanks to the velvet padding on the floor, the figures can be easily moved on the board.
The playing field consists of brilliantly polished tiles and sits on an ash wood box. The figures can simply be stowed away in it after the game. The design of the Buddy Chess Set was designed by Wesley Chau & Alan Wisniewski.
