Plate in Green and Yellow Tones
The Oiva Sääpäiväkirja plate by Marimekko originates from a cooperation between the Finnish designer Aino-Maija Metsola and Sami Ruotsalainen. The result is a dish made of stoneware shaped by Ruotsalainen, with a beautiful pattern in green and yellow tones painted by Metsola.
Inspired by the Finnish Summer
The two designers were inspired by nature in Finland. The almost watercolor-like green and yellow embody the wind sweeping through the trees, the rustling reeds, the misty archipelagos and the golden grass of Finnish summer.
The plate, that is ideal for breakfast with a diameter of 20 cm, is made from stoneware and is dishwasher-safe as well as suitable for the microwave and freezer.
