Crystal Schnaps Glass
The Schnaps glass was designed by Herbert Schultes for Auersberg. The idea for the glass series originated from the Bavarian manufacturer Auerberg’s philosophy of working together with regional manufacturers. It all started with paper models which designer Herbert Schultes then realised together with the ‘Glasfachschule Zwiesel’.
The exceptional thing about this glass series by Auerberg is that it was created completely on the basis of the carafe - which was also supposed to work without a handle. For this reason, Schultes designed the neck of the carafe so narrow that even someone with small hands would have no problems in holding it firmly and using it. The three glasses in the glass series by Auerberg are formally based on the carafe - therefore they also do without a handle or stem.
The glass series from Auerberg consists of crystal glass that is mouth-blown into beechwood moulds, thereby getting a soft, simple silhouette. The entire glass series comprises a water carafe, a water glass, a wine carafe and a whiskey glass.
