Double-Walled Glass
The double-walled Pavina Drinking Glasses were developed by designer Masato Yamamoto for Bodum. The drinking glasses exist in three product lines: Canteen, Pavina and Assam. The glass series Canteen and Pavina were awarded the RedDot Design Award.
These double-walled glasses have a lot of advantages in comparison with common, single-walled glasses:
- Hot drinks can be held in the hand without a handle
- With cold drinks, no condensation forms on the glass surface
- The drinks remain hot or cold for longer than they would in single-walled glasses. People believe that the inventor of stemmed glasses was inspired by the idea of wine floating in the air.
The double-walled drinking glasses by Bodum are another way of making your drink “float”. Pavina offers the right size for every drink: the smallest glass for espressos has a capacity of 80 ml and the biggest can hold 460 ml..
