Spring potholder with loop
The Alku potholder from Marimekko features the Alku pattern designed by Maija Louekari. Made of cotton, the potholder is filled with polyester and has a hanging loop. This makes it heat resistant and easy to hang.
The bean-like shapes in the new Marimekko pattern represent seeds that grow into gorgeous, vibrant flowers. They symbolize a new beginning, as spring is, hence the name Alku - "beginning" in Finnish.
