Cotton oven glove and pot holder with wave design
The Seireeni Oven glove & potholder of the Finnish label Marimekko are with its large wave pattern a great design must-have. Both products are made from unbleached cotton - Here 50% of the cotton is recycled. The set has a padded filling and practical hanging loops.
Siren design by Maija Isola
During a trip through Greece in the early 1960s, Finnish designer Maija Isola was inspired by the flowing movements of water. Seireeni , in German Sirene, dates back to 1964 and was named after the Sirens of Greek mythology. The design recalls the enchanting song, which lured sailors into wild waters.
