Oiva Toikka created a legend in 1964 with his Kastehelmi series created a legend. Thanks to Iittala , the design classics are now being given a new lease of life.

The bowls from the Kastehelmi series from Iittala , like all Kastehelmi Oiva Toikka's designs, the bowls in the series have the characteristic drop shape on the surface. These drops beautifully bring out the vibrant, reflective beauty of the glass. Because of the embossing the bowls are Kastehelmi the bowls are great to touch and also look fantastic.

In the 1960s, Oiva Toikka tried to find a way to hide the seams in pressed glass. He came up with the idea of placing small glass drops on the seams. His experiment developed into a completely new design, which has now been reissued by Iittala . The Kastehelmi bowls are an enrichment for the interior at any time and for any occasion.
