Glass bowl to serve
The bowls of the series Ultima Thule were designed by Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala in 1968. Ultima Thule is now already a classic and had a big influence on Iittalas international success.
Ultima Thule is a collection of glasses, on which you can see the long and hard work, which is in the perfection of the glass processing technique. The unique effect of the glasses and its appearance imitate nature. The shapes differ from piece to piece, depending on how the fluid glass meets the wooden models in the production.
