The Pepper Mill MP1562 by designer Paolo Pagani is a classic object made of turned wood. It is perhaps the best design of this material by Alessi.
In addition to the known products made of metal, wood work was always the second main pillar of Alessi. In order to maintain this tradition, Alessi purchase the company Battista Piazza as early as 1988. Since then, a lot of historic objects of the 1920s have been reworked.
Between 1980 and 1990, Ettore Sottsass, together with the young designers of his studio, was responsable for a large part of the wooden work of the Twergi line.
The Pepper Mill MP1560 is also available. This is the same model as the MP1562, but it is made of light beech wood.
