Georg Jensen - Cobra Table Lamp

The German designer Constantin Wortmann enjoys playing with the viewer’s perception. His Cobra Table Lamp for Georg Jensen appears dynamic and is a typical example of his vision of transformation.

With the Cobra Table Lamp, Wortmann has transferred the fluent design language of the collection from Georg Jenson to a new context. The base of the lamp smoothly wriggles upwards like the eponymous Cobra. The light radiating sideways appears gentle and diffuse through the lampshade of the Cobra Table Lamp, while a large portion of the light shines directly upwards and downwards and illuminates the room.
