Table lamp with striking conical shade
The striking conical shade of the Keglen LED table lamp by Louis Poulsen has a built-in curved diffuser. This provides an attractive and glare-free light directed downwards. The stem blends into the diffuser shade, folding inwards and creating a beautiful organic geometry. A discreet, even opening in the upper part of the shade also emits a soft light upwards, creating a perfect ambience.
The shade and the base of the lamp are made of turned aluminium. The diffuser is made of injection-moulded polycarbonate.
Keglen luminaire family
Keglen was developed in 2017 by BIG Ideas in collaboration with Louis Poulsen . The goal was to create a simple, yet unique luminaire that focuses on the geometry and essence of light. The goal of Keglen's design was to create a systematic design language that would allow for a wide range of lighting typologies. In other words, Bjarke Ingels, Jakob Lange and the BIG Ideas design team wanted to create a family of luminaires with the same characteristics and design details in different sizes, but each with a unique personality.
