‘Inspiration through nature and modern comfort for a complete collection’ - how manufacturer Arper describes the idea behind its Leaf collection. A group of furniture pieces were released, which redefines basics and can be placed anywhere, home or outside.
The Italian company has been characterised for years by its consistent production in top quality in harmony with ecological awareness and respectful use of resources. Consequently, the name says it all: ‘Leaf’ is the name of the weatherproof steel furniture, which radiates unobtrusive lightness.
The chair in the series by designer Lievore Altherr Molina is available in two different versions: a stackable version with wider legs that converge in the centre and a non-stackable, thinner version. The ergonomic shape makes the chair surprisingly comfortable. In summer 2006 Arper came out with the series, which in the same year won the Grand Designs UK Award.
On request, the steel frame is also available in the colours mocha and green or with chrome plating. The furniture can also be complemented with pillows, made of polyurethane for outside (decoration drawing on floral motif of the metal frame) and full-grain leather for inside (different colours).
