This Children's Highchair gets smaller while the children get older. The designers beared in mind that, little children have to sit higher so they are on the same eye level as their parents.
The older the child, the shorter has to be the chair. The provided saw and sandpaper are the help: the chair can be adjusted how you want it. This is as practical as pragmatic. The child grows, so the chair has to be cut!
Designer Maartje Steenkamp won for this design the Red Dot Design Award in 2006.
SMS stands for the Studio Maartje Steenkamp, a design studio for architecture, furniture and interior design in Haarlem. Since 2002 is Maartje Steenkamp the manager of the office. Really popular is her children's chair Highchair for Droog. Designer Maartje Steenkamp
