Alessi - Chop

The Chop chopping board was designed by Patrick Jouin for Alessi. It consists of high quality bamboo wood. What is special at it is its higher form and the concave outer wall. The inside oriented wave at the outer side from Chop allows the user to push a plate or a flat bowl near to the board so that the cut food can easily be moved on it.

Chop is an homage to cooking arts and it was honored with the Design Plus Award 2011 for its high quality design. The young and renowned French designer Patrick Jouin already worked together with Alessi in the year 2007. At that time he designed the Pasta Pot-Set PJ01.

Patrick Jouin Was born in 1967 in Nantes in France. He graduated at the „ENSCI-les Ateliers“ in Paris in 1992. From 1995 to 199 he worked together with the Studio from Philippe Starck in Paris. Designer Patrick Jouin
